EASTMAN - Mr. Fred R. (Buddy) Bennett, Jr., age 79, of Eastman, died Thursday, March 24, 2005. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 25, in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home.
Mr. Bennett was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Eastman First United Methodist Church, former owner and president of Bennett and Long Company, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and son of the late Fred R. Bennett, Sr. and Lucile Norris Bennett.
Survivors: wife, Virginia C. (Leathers) Bennett; one daughter, Jane B. Tolleson; one son, Fred R. Bennett III; one sister, Mary Alice Long; one brother, John Allen Bennett; one granddaughter, Virginia Comer Ireland.
