She was born in Portsmouth on April 22, 1942 to Henry and Mary (Meenach) Murphy and was a former member of the Sand Hill Baptist Church. Marcella was married for 52 years to George Allen, Sr. and liked nothing better than spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, George (Julie) Allen, Jr. of Franklin Furnace; one daughter, Mary (Jim) Stevens of Stockdale; two brothers, Tim (Shirley) Murphy of Canton and Paul (Carrie Jean) Murphy of Naples, FL; one sister, Loretta Chamberlin of Portsmouth; five grandchildren, Jimmy, Timmy, Kevin, Zachary, and Christopher; six great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Taylar, Brianna, Majel, Isabell, and Trevor. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Thomas Allen; two sisters, Charlotte and Elanora; one brother, James.
Interment will be at Old Wheelersburg Cemetery in Wheelers-burg.
