Mrs. M.D. Ryan passed away Wednesday morning at her home after a brief illness. Emelie MacGillvary was born December 13, 1877 in Bay City. In 1900 she was married to Dr. Michael D. Ryan in Saginaw. She was a member of St. Mary's Catherdal, its Altar society, The Calendar Club, a charter member of the Catholic Study Club, League of Catholic Women, and past president of the Saginaw Woman's Club. Also a member of the Saginaw County Medical Society Auxillary.
Surviving besides her husband, are one daughter and one son; Mrs. Roy DeGesero and Dr. Richard S. Ryan, both of Saginaw; three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Len McManus, Detroit, Mrs. Florence Griffin, Toronto, Ontario, Mrs. Wallace Bailey, Boyne City, William MacGillvary, Detroit; nine grandchildren.....burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery...
