Funeral services for Ben C. Smith, 73 years old, a resident here for many years and a veteran printer in Seattle and Yakima, who died Saturday after a short illness, will be held at 8 o'clock tomorrow evening in the Green Lake Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Smith, a native of Pennsylvania [sic], came to Seattle in 1881 [sic]. For a number of years he was employed by The Post-Intelligencer until quitting to establish a job printing business which he operated for about a decade. He then was employed by The Yakima Republic and The Yakima Herald. Twelve years later he retired and returned to Seattle. He was a member of Lodge No. 192 of Elks, which will officiate in the service.
Surviving are the widow, Josephine of Seattle, and two sons, Warner Smith of Helena, Mont., and Darrell Smith, Seattle.
