Edna Coggins Campbell, 84, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at her home in Hampton. She is a native of Montgomery County, N.C., but had been a resident of the Peninsula for 65 years.
Edna retired from JCPenney as a sales clerk after 40 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Mrs. Campbell leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Ralph A. Campbell Sr.; two sons, Ralph A. Campbell Jr. and wife, Connie, and John W. Campbell; three sisters, Letha Lowder, Ruth Honeycutt and Joanne Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Shane, Ashley, Lindsey, Chris and Ryan Campbell, Brantlee Lemmink and Sherry Secrist; seven great-grandchildren, Seth and Caylin Campbell, Alex and Campbell Lemmink and Turner, Noah and Taylor Secrist.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at Peninsula Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
