PORT ST. LUCIE - Eugene J. Amoroso, 76, of Woodbury, Conn., died Friday, Jan. 26, 1996, at Columbia Medical Center-Port St. Lucie.
A native of New York City, he grew up in Maspeth, N.Y.
Before retirement, he was a lithographer for John S. Swift for 44 years.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Army. After retirement he lived in Woodbury and Port St. Lucie.
He was a member of St. Teresa's Church, Woodbury.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Amico Amoroso; a son, Alfred Amoroso of Darien, Conn.; a daughter, Carolyn Carroll of Brewster, N.Y.; two brothers, James Amoroso of Palm Beach Gardens and Salvatore Amoroso of Apollo Beach, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Eugene, Ashlee, April, Adam and Austin.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Saint Teresa's Church, Woodbury.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown, Conn.
