Mrs. Deardorff owned and operated the Deardorff Grocery. She also worked for the Girls State Training School in Chillicothe, Mo., for 14-1/2 years. Born in Galt, Mo., on March 5, 1936, she was a member of the Mount Zion Church in Humphreys, Mo. On Nov. 20, 1974, she married Donald Deardorff in Avalon. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Deardorff was preceded in death by her parents, Burton and Ireta Keithley.
Additional survivors include two sons, Fred Reed of Avalon and Willie Deardorff of the home; four sisters, Phyllis Laughridge of Hale, Mo., Linda Quinn and Karen Reed, both of Chillicothe, and Sharon Drake of Chula, Mo.; two brothers, Larry Keithley of Avalon and Don Keithley of El Paso, Texas; and three grandchildren.
