Rose Bishop New York City Rose DeMarino Bishop was born 05 January 1943 in New York City to Salvador DeMarino and Clelia Marra DeMarino. She died there 20 June 2006. Rose and Lloyd Bishop of NYC and Las Vegas were married 12 November 1976 and later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. They had homes in New York City, Las Vegas, Kaysville, and Salmon, Idaho. Rose earned advanced degrees from St. Johns and New York Universities. She was a teacher and administrator in NYC public schools, and a professor at Pace and Cornell Universities; she was also a successful management consultant. Both time and resources were donated as she served on the Alumni boards of the Communications Dept. and the school of Business at BYU. Rose was energetic in LDS Church Public Affairs in Nevada, Salt Lake City, and New York where she was actively involved in the preparation for the open house of the Manhattan New York LDS Temple. At the time of her death, she and Lloyd had served for two years as full-time volunteers in the Manhattan Temple. She was nominated as Mother-of-the-Year in NY State. Funeral services will be held Monday, 26 June at 1:00 pm in the Manhattan Stake Center. A funeral service will also be held in Kaysville, Utah, Thursday 29 June at Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main Street. Viewing from 12:30 p.m. with services at 1:30 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Kaysville City Cemetery following the services.
