BAY VIEW GARDENS - Mildred V. Allen, age 84, of Bay View Gardens, Ill., passed away at 12:45am Friday at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Ill. She was born Nov. 27, 1927, in Kilburn, Ill., to Issac and Sarah (Garner) Atkins.

She married Lloyd L. Allen Sr. on Dec. 29, 1945, in Peoria. He passed away on Jan. 31, 2008.

Surviving are her children, Lloyd Allen Jr. of Bay View Gardens, Sarah Elston of Eureka, Vonnie (Toney) Miller of Normal, Ill., and Charlene Allen of Bay View Gardens.

She also is survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and three sisters, Verla Yates of Atlanta, Ill., Erma Blanchard and Audrey Moerhing, both of Delavan.

She was preceded in death by one son, two sisters, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mildred had worked as a CNA for Galena Park Nursing Home and was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be at 11am Monday, July 2, 2012, at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel, with the Rev. Sam Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30am until service time at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded after services. Burial of ashes will be in Spring Bay Cemetery.
