Kay F. Ackerman, 61, a former owner of Kay's Hair Sensations, died Sunday at her residence. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Assembly of God. Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ackerman was born in Horry County, a daughter of Baker Lane and Dula N. Floyd Lane. She was a member of Georgetown Water Color Society and First Assembly of God.
Surviving are her husband, Billy Ackerman; two sons, Billy J. Gunter of Conway and A. Glenn Gunter of Georgetown; two daughters, Sandra G. Stanton of Columbia and Stacie M. Ackerman of Georgetown; a brother, Harry Lane of North Charleston; two sisters, Ruth Cochrane of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Betty Rogers of Hanahan; and six grandchildren.
