The son of Italian immigrants Dominick A. Liguori and Michelina Anna Marichese. Married Marie Ella Boyer on September 12, 1942. They had a son and a daughter.

Served with the 24th Infantry Division from 1938 to 1941. Honorably discharged in July of 1941. Reenlisted into the Army Air Force after Pearl Harbor.

Served with the 33rd Fighter Group in the Army Air Force during World War II. Wounded in July 1944 and shipped home to an Army hospital. Honorably discharged and released from the hospital in November of 1944.

Died of a cerebral hemorrhage as a result of the wounds he sustained in combat.
