MISS LULA COOPER, lifelong resident of Avalon, died late Saturday afternoon in Stephens County Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Stephens County, a daughter of the late William Arminius Cooper and Sarah Elizabeth Payne Cooper. Miss Cooper was a member of Confidence Methodist Church and a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Survivors include one sister, Miss Margaret Cooper of the home; 1 brother, Paul Cooper of the home; 1 niece, Miss Ruth McBath of Avalon; 4 nephews, Ralph McBath, W. C. McBath, both of Avalon, J. B. McBath of Bradenton, FL, and George C. Winsor of Chamblee.
Funeral services were held Monday at 4 p.m. in Confidence Methodist Church with Rev. Douglas Harmon and Rev. Douglas Brown officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Fred L. Hayes, Daily swilling, Clyde Weaver, L. H. Fredrick, Johnson Fuller, and Ollie Elrod
Dan Mathews Mortuary was in charge.
