James H. (probably James Henry) "Jimmie" Pattillo was the son of Henry Augustus Pattillo and Henrietta H. "Hallie" Hall. He was born about March 1870 probably Cartersville, Bartow Co., Georgia.

In 1880 he lived with his parents and siblings in De Soto, Floyd Co., Georgia. After the death of his mother in 1898, he lived with his Uncle and Aunt, Robert Moreland Pattillo and Fanny Baldwin Pattillo, in Bartow Co., Georgia.

Sometime between 1900 and prior to March 1908, Jimmie moved to Shreveport, Caddo Parrish, Louisiana. On March 25, 1908 Jimmie passed away in Shreveport of Phthisis Pulmonalis also known as tuberculosis of the lungs.

The Shreveport City Death Register lists his date of death as March 25, 1908, his age as 34, his occupation as Accountant, his state of birth as Georgia, his cause of death as Phthisis Pulmonalis, his place of death as a hospital and his doctor as W. M. Ledbetter.

The Shreveport City Cemetery Sexton's Records list his burial date as March 31, 1908 and the cemetery as Greenwood.

James H. Pattillo was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery established in 1892 in Shreveport, and was the second city cemetery, so was known at first as the "new city cemetery". The entrance to Greenwood Cemetery is on Stoner Avenue, near the intersection with Market St.
