ERECTED
in memory of
Mrs. ANNA PAYSON
the desirable consort of the
REV. JOHN PAYSON who de-
parted this life April 8th, 1802;
in the 60th year of her age.

During almoʃt 30 years in the con-
jugal life, ʃhe conspicuously and em-
inently exemplified the scripture
character of the virtuous woman.
She appeared to be pious & devout
towards God: equitable, faithful and
charitable to her fellow creatures re-
markable for industry, frugality &
sobriety and a persevering professor
of the christian religion. Her children
rise up, and call her blessed; her hus-
band also, and he praiseth her.
