Alexander Lindrus, the son of Jacob and Maria was born in Finland on Sep. 11, 1872.

He married to Anna Nopola (Leino) and together they had 8 children and a daughter from Anna's previous marriage.

They were farmers living in Dollar Bay, Michigan.

Alex died on May 18, 1937.
His skull was fractured when he was thrown from a horse drawn wagon :(

DOLLAR BAY MAN FATALLY INJURED AS HORSE BOLTS
Alex Lindrus, 64 year old farmer of Dollar Bay died last night at 7 o'clock in St. Joseph's Hospital of injuries suffered yesterday morning when his horse bolted throwing him off the wagon.
Lindrus was driving his horse near the Dollar Bay post office when the animal was frightened by a truck and bolted the wagon crashing against the Mattson Service Station. Lindrus was thrown out suffering a fractured skull. Although one wheel was broken off the wagon, the horse continued in flight finally being caught two and a half miles east of Dollar Bay.
Lindrus was born in Finland and came to this country 40 years ago having lived in the Copper Country most of that time.
Surviving are the widow, three daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Wilson, Detroit; Mrs. Andrew Olson, Minneapolis and Mrs. William Komula, L'Anse, four sons, John, Nisula; Herman and Waino of Detroit and Arne at home; eight grandchildren; and a sister in Finland.
The body is at Heikkila's Funeral Home where it will remain until the funeral Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Dollar Bay First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Paul Heideman will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
