LYFORD - Mrs. Caroline Schultz, 82, died in Valley Baptist Hospital Sunday morning after a lengthy illness. She was born April 24, 1880, in Spring and was married to William Schultz in Spring on July 18, 1907. She had been a resident of Willacy County since 1934, moving here from Spring. She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Raymondville. Survivors include the husband fine sons, Arnold and richard Schultz of Spring, Ernest Schultz of Westfield, Simon Schultz of Harlingen, and Robert Schultz of Raymondville; three daughters, Mrs. Albert Jackson of San Antonio, Mrs. W. T. Steele of Santa Rosa, and Mrs. Bently Barnett of Sebastian; 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Raymondville, with the Rev. Walter H. Heintze officiating. Burial will be in Lyford Cemetery.

Caroline Wilhelmina Krimmel was born 24 Apr 1880 in Spring, TX to Konrad Krimmel (1838-1910) and Rosina Kuhnle (1939-1915). She married Wilhem Schultz (1882-1963) on 18 Jul 1907. They moved to Willacy County in 1934 and were members of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Raymondville. Caroline passed away at Valley Baptist Hospital in Lyford, Willacy Co., Texas of generalized peritonitis.
