Rosamond M. Groth, 86, Port Richey, Florida and formerly of Two Harbors, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005 in Hudson, Florida. She was born November 4, 1919 to Louis and May (Conlin) Pieper in Monteray, Minnesota.
She graduated from Trimont High School and then married Herbert Groth on June 30,1939. She moved to Two Harbors in 1966 where she was employed by Lake County Social Service for 18 years as a coordinator for homemaker services. Rose was a member of Bethleham Lutheran Church, Two Harbors, the senior coalition and Harbor Mates.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert on May 24, 1980; sisters and brothers, Geraldine, Gertrude, Arthur, Robert, Rolly, and Fred. Rose is survived by her children, Richard (Judith) Groth of Brimson, Minn., Margaret Groth of Port Richey, Fla., and Ruthann (George) Kyrola of Makinen, Minn.; grandchildren, DeAnn (Albin) Sorenson of Richfield, Minn., Denise (Michael) Matthews of Urbandale, Iowa, David (Shannon) Groth of Tarpen Springs, Fla., and Jamie Kyrola, of Duluth; step grandchildren, Kurt and Keith Kyrola, both of Duluth, Kris (Brent) Harms-Manteno of Illinois, Kari (Shawn) Meyers of Ramsey, Minn.; great grandchildren, Taylor and Jeremy Sorenson, Rylee and Raegen Matthews, Amber Kyrola; step greatgrandson, Mike Wynn; sister, Gwen Wolford of Estacadia, Ore., and many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION:Noon until 1 p.m. service, Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Bassett Cometery, Brimson, Minn. In lieu of flowers memorial preferred to the Bassett Congregational Church in Brimson or the Two Harbors Rescue Squad. Arrangements by Cavallin Funeral Home.
