She grew up in Clarkson and in Kansas where she graduated from high school. After high school she mostly lived in Columbus. She married Ernest Reece Bergman on July 2, 1948 in Albion. She worked for a short time at Tooley Drug before devoting her life to being a housewife, mother, and spending a lot of time caring for her grandchildren. Ginger loved to go shopping, play cards. and listening to polka music on the radio every Sunday morning. She was a long time member of the Eagles Auxiliary.
She is survived by two children; Richard Bergman of Columbus and Pegg Bergman of Northridge, CA, one brother: Milo Janda of Denver, CO, one sister; Erma Hahn of Alliance, NE, three grandchildren; Troy (Laura) Bergman of Columbus, Todd (Vicki) Bergman of Denver, CO, and Jaime Petersen of Northridge, CA, and three great-grandchildren; Trevor, Hunter, and Aleesha Bergman all of Denver, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Joe Janda and one sister.
