Archibald, Linda Carole Westfall, wife of Philip C. Archibald, passed away 6 Jun 2012. Born 19 Jan 1940 in Coco Solo, Canal Zone, Panama, eldest child of Maurice E. Westfall and Grace E. Brock, Linda received her Bachelor's Degree in 1961 from the University of California at Riverside and her Master's Degree in 1969 from California State University in Sacramento, CA.
Linda was an extraordinary kindergarten teacher who served the Sierra Sands Unified School District for more than 25 years.
Phil and Linda enjoyed traveling and made many trips to Europe and other parts of the world. Linda was also a member of the Hi Desert Quilt Guild and was a member and past regent of Panamint Springs Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving Linda are her husband of over 20 years, Phil Archibald, of Ridgecrest, CA as well as two sisters: Pat Westfall and her husband Larry Weimers of Arroyo Grande, CA and Vicki Westfall and her husband Robert Kristic of Ferndale, CA. Linda also leaves two children from her first marriage to Benjamin Vick: her son Benjamin LeVeque and ife Deb of Encinitas, CA and her daughter Tricia LeVeque and her husband Mark Eoff of Marietta, GA. She is also survived by her five grandchildren—Luke and Dillon Eoff of Marietta, GA and Michael, Everett, and Chase LeVeque of Encinitas, CA. Other survivors include two step-children Jerry and Steve Dickey, from her second marriage to Frank Dickey, a professor at Cerro Coso Community College, and two step-children from Phil's first marriage: Susan Archibald and Charles Archibald.
