Funeral services for George E. Neve, 93, Ringsted, were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ringsted with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Fred Boyce officiated.
Mr. Neve died Dec. 28 at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville. Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Ringsted was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Neve was born October 23, 1888 at Ringsted and was the son of E. D. and Sarah (Jensen) Neve. He received his education in the Ringsted schools and attended Dana College at Blair, Nebr. On May 27, 1913 he was married to Christina Hansen at Blair. He lived his entire life in the Ringsted area, where he was a barber and a rural mail carrier. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church; the Rural Mail Carriers Association; served on the church council; taught Sunday School many years and served on the board of the Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp.
Mr. Neve is survived by one son, Glenn Neve, Spencer; three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Kloth, Irvine, Calif; Mrs. Arlette Lastine, Graettinger; and Mrs. Elaine Nielsen, Polk City; Eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Adolph Vammen, Oaks, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his wife, five brothers, five sisters and one grandson.
