Richard "Dick" Gouine, 82 a lifetime resident of Attica, died Sunday, June 3, 2012. Richard was born May 9, 1930 in Ossineke, MI, son to Arthur and Sarah (Spray) Gouine.

Dick served his country proudly in the US Army. He married Donna E. Walker on July 12, 1958 in Lapeer. He worked for General Motors for over 30 years, retiring in 1981. Dick loved his horses, cats, dogs and basically all animals.

Dick is survived by his children: Nancy DeGroat of Attica and Mark (Jan) Gouine of Attica; four grandchildren: Angel, Terry, Sonya & Mark and two great grandchildren: Sidney & Austin. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Gouine in 2007, his parents and all of his siblings.

A graveside service was held 11:00 AM Tuesday June 5, 2012 at Dawn Memorial Cemetery in Lapeer, Pastor Joel Caminiti officiated. Mr. Gouine received military honors on Tuesday under the auspices of American Legion Post #16 Honor Guard.
