Rose Blazek of Owatonna died Thursday, April 30, at Cedarview Nursing Home. She was 93.
Rose was born May 24, 1893 in Steele County. She never married.
Miss Blazek taught school in rural areas of Steele County in the 1920s and 1930s. She then moved to Willow River and taught in Pine County. After both her parents had died she moved back to Owatonna. She was a member of the St. Blanche Circle of Sacred Heart Church for many years.
Survivors include a sister, Beatrice Moravec, of Portland, Ore., four nieces, Rosemary McDonald, Dorothy Bailey, Frances Krahulec, Georgia Wilkie and a nephew, Victor Kubicek.
Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
