Ivy L. (Ayre) Taber of New Bedford, a former bookkeeper, died Saturday at Forestview Nursing Home, Wareham. She was 86.
Born and raised in Fall River, Mrs. Taber lived in New Bedford for many years.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Coastal Fisheries in New Bedford and Sunderland's Restaurant in Tiverton, R.I., for many years.
Mrs. Taber was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Wife of the late George T., she is survived by two sons, George T. Jr. of Zephyrhills, Fla. and Douglas of Wareham; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
