Tressie Louise Lucy Bennett age 69 of Spring Mill died Monday June 18, 2012 at her home. She was born July 27, 1942 at Calico Rock, Arkansas to Henry Robert and Rose Irene Branscum Lucy. She had worked many years for GDX Automotive and International Shoe Factory both in Batesville. She was also an avid collector. She was a member of the Maple Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Elbert and Pearl Branscum and Bob and Tressie Lucy; one brother, Robert "Pete" Lucy and one step-son, Al Bennett Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Al Bennett of the home; two step-sons, Bill Bennett and Brian Bennett both of Mishawaka, Indiana; one step-daughter, Pam Hahji of Napier, Indiana; two brothers, William Lucy of Salado and Buddy Lucy of Cushman; two sisters, Nettie Hackworth of Newark and Penny Jackson of Locust Grove; many step-grandchildren; step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will begin Thursday June 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maple Springs Missionary Baptist Church located at Maple Springs with Bro. Curt Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Springs Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.

Visitation will begin Wednesday June 20, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Branscum, Charlie Jackson, Johnny Branscum, William Branscum, Stan Branscum and Donnie Branscum.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Seth Barnes, Chris Lucy, Sammy Phillips and all of her cousins.
