Anna Aamodt, 78, of Williston, died Friday, Feb 1 1985, at her residence. Funeral services will be
10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb 6 at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Tenner Thompson will officiate and burial will be in the Hillside Memory Gardens, Williston.
Anna Louise Rod was born Feb 9. 1906 at Alexander to Anton and Eldri Rod. She lived for a short time in the Alexander-Charboneau area before moving to Norway, where she attended grade school. She returned to the Alexander area as a young girl and finished her education She married Anund Aamodt Oct 24, 1936, at Alexander. The couple made their home and farmed at rural Alexander. Mr. Aamodt retired from farming in 1966 and they moved to Williston. Mr. Aamodt died Aug 2, 1971. Mrs. Aamodt remained living in Williston.
Mrs. Aamodt was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church of rural Alexander and Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church of Williston. She was an active member of the ALCW of both churches. Mrs.
Aamodt is survived by one son, Glenn of Alexander; two daughters, Mrs. Darold (Ida) Hitland of Alexander and Mrs. Gordon (Judy) Olson of Burlington; one brother, Ole Rod of Norway; two sisters, Ida Mittet and Agnes Mittet, both of Norway; and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Aamodt was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the Fulkerson-Sletten Funeral Home of Williston.
