"MORRIS - Charles Bailey died suddenly Saturday at his home here. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p. m. in the Methodist church. The Rev. Samuel Little officiated with burial in Hillington cemetery. Mr. Bailey was born in Morris, the son of Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Bailey. He was a life-long resident of this place. He married Clara Dekin of Morris October 3, 1888. He leaves two brothers, Lee and John; two sisters, Mrs. George Wade, Morris, and Mrs. Harvey Baker, Oneonta; two sons, Earl and Melverne; and a daughter, Mrs. Howard Mallory. Mr. Bailey worked most of his life as a carpenter at Morris Manor. For the last four years he lived at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mallory."
