"MORRIS - Charles Bailey died suddenly Saturday at his home here. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p. m. in the Methodist church. The Rev. Samuel Little officiated with burial in Hillington cemetery. Mr. Bailey was born in Morris, the son of Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Bailey. He was a life-long resident of this place. He married Clara Dekin of Morris October 3, 1888. He leaves two brothers, Lee and John; two sisters, Mrs. George Wade, Morris, and Mrs. Harvey Baker, Oneonta; two sons, Earl and Melverne; and a daughter, Mrs. Howard Mallory. Mr. Bailey worked most of his life as a carpenter at Morris Manor. For the last four years he lived at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mallory." He is survived by his wife, the former Clara Ann Dakin, whom he married on October 3, 1888; a daughter, Mrs. Florence Mallory; two sons, Earl of Morris and Melvern of New Berlin; eleven grandchildren, two of whom are overseas six great grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers ..."
