Jay was the first son of Jesse Green Sr. and Ethel Keener Green. He married Margaret Louise Hall June 07, 1940 in Dalton, GA and was in the Navy during WWII. Jay started work at the same Lumber yard where his father worked. He went on to become a great builder and a part of the home and business industries there in Dalton.
Jay and Maggie had a daughter Brenda and quite a few years later a son, Jesse Phillip Phil Green III. I was often included on special occasions with this wonderful family, spending many nights sleeping over. I loved my Uncle Jay and still miss him. After my Mom's death Jay would visit several times a month with my Dad.
