Joe was born March 21, 1927, in Pratt, KS, to Henry Joseph II & Cleda Mae Pace Adams. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He graduated from Kansas State University & was a devoted alumni member his entire life.
He worked for ABC (American Broadcasting Company) in New York, during which time he was involved in such projects as a Unit Manager for the Olympics, Wide World of Sports, Live Aid & many others. He was significantly involved in broadcasting for numerous space shuttle missions including Mesa, CA & NASA Houston.
He had a great love for the small town atmosphere & southern hospitality that Fredericksburg had to offer. He was very well known in the community & had many cherished friendships.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives, Norma & Louise & a son, Mark Sinclair.
Funeral services for Joe Adams will be 2 PM, Monday, June 18th, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Deacon Patrick Klein officiating. Graveside services will take place at a later date in Belleville, KS. The family will greet friends 5-7 PM, Sunday, June 17th, in Fredericksburg Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas State University, Hill Country Memorial Hospital, Gillespie County Fair & Festivals Asc., or the charity of one's choice.
