Mr. Crocker was head of Crocker, Burbank & Co. Association and founder of the Fitchburg Red Cross.

He was a son of Charles T & Helen (Tufts) Crocker, and named for his grandfather.

He was a member of the Fitchburg High School class of 1875, and later was graduated from Harvard in 1879.

Crocker also cared for his nephew, Samuel Emmons Crocker, after the death of Varanus.
