Elizabeth A. "Betty" Connelly, 81, of 29 Fairview Ave., died at 8:05 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, in the Oil City Presbyterian Home.

Born April 18, 1919, in Oil City, she was a daughter of James P. and Catherine Helen Callahan Feeney.

She attended St. Joseph schools.

Mrs. Connelly worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and had operated her own beauty shop in her home for many years.

She had belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union.

Mrs. Connelly was a member of St. Joseph Church.

She was married Jan. 11, 1958, to Edward J. Connelly, who died Oct. 17, 1993.

Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Florence Feeney of Erie and Mary Feeney of Oil City RD; and seven nephews, Donnie Feeney of Waterford, Dickie Feeney, Larry Feeney and Jimmy Feeney, all of Erie, David Feeney of New York, and
Jim Bucholz and Joe Bucholz, both of Oil City RD.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Connelly was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Feeney and Robert Feeney.

Private visitation will be held in the Reinsel Funeral Home, followed by committal services in Calvary Cemetery with Msgr. John W. Swoger, pastor of St. Joseph Church, presiding.
