William Joseph "Bill" Ammerman, age 73, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Markey Cancer Center, Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Pendleton County, Kentucky, on January 2, 1939, to the late Sebree Carter and Alice Pearl Holback Ammerman. Mr. Ammerman was a retired employee of Harrison RECC, a member of Beaver Baptist Church and an honorably discharged Army veteran.

Survivors include: his wife, Linda Harney Ammerman; one son and his fiancée, Jeffrey Ammerman and LeAnn Lemons; one granddaughter, Lauren Elyse Ammerman; and one aunt, Helen Ammerman, of Williamstown, Kentucky.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to: a Scholarship Fund for Lauren Elyse Ammerman, in care of Central Bank; the Beaver Baptist Church Cemetery Fund; or the American Cancer Society.
