Jim passed away, March 22, 2012 at his home in Prescott. He was born on July 5, 1937 at the old St. Joseph Hospital. Jim is a true native of Arizona, attending Stevenson/Ann Ott grade school. His parents Ben and Marie Alcorn relocated to the Scottsdale School District where Jim finished high school, graduating in 1956. Within the same year Jim began his 33 year career at Mountain Bell holding positions from Lineman to Installer to Trainer then the test center. Following this he went into Auditing, traveling to Washington D.C. to do a presentation to the F.C.C. After retirement he became co-owner of Alcorn Financial Corporation.

Later years he spent his quiet retirement days in Prescott enjoying golf , his 29 Ford and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survived by his wife of 55 years Peggy; two sons, Samuel James (Curtis Burns); Curtis Rae (Ronda); three grandchildren, Amanda, Austin, Audra; three great grandchildren, Kaylee, Morgan and Brock.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:00 AM, Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ..

Walter was his stepfather.
