Clella Mae (Thompson)Allen was the daughter of John T Thompson and Lucinda Belle Benefiel. She was born in the Van Wert, Iowa area. She married Charles Cleveland Allen in February of 1910. Prior to that she worked in the local newspaper office. Together they had six children, 2 daughters and 4 sons, all of the sons served in the military during WW2. She loved to crochet and sew.
