Judge Charles Richardson, a prominent attorney of Sedalia, and a resident of Pettis county for thirty-four years, Charles, graduated from Washington, PA college in the class of "46". He was admitted to the bar at Hamilton, OH, where he practiced law for several years. In 1862 he built a paper mill at Middleton, OH, and in 1856 was elected mayor of that town. He was married to Miss Hannah Graham, a native of Cincinnatt, at Graham's Mills, OH, April 3, 1851 to whom six children were born. Charles came to Sedalia in 1865. In 1872-1873 he was elected county judge and later practiced law there.
