Alice L. (Forquer) Dickson, age 94, of Mansfield died Saturday, March 1, 2003 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home in Mansfield after an extended illness.

Alice is entering the city whose builder and maker is God.

She was born January 18, 1909 in Chardon, Ohio, and grew up in the Ganges/Shiloh area. She worked several years in the cafeteria at Johnny Appleseed and Mansfield Sr. High School. She retired January 1, 1971 from Thermo-Disc. Corp. in Mansfield, after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Cornerstone Grace Brethern Church in Ontario and a past member of F.O.P. Auxillary. Alice loved working in her flower garden.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to: her two sons and their wives, Rev. G. James and June Dickson of Oxnard, CA and Larry Gene and Frances Dickson of Abbeville, LA; and to her 6 grandchildren and their spouses, John and Debbie Dickson of Palm Springs, CA, Joel and Julia Dickson of Ukiah, CA, Kevin and Jackie Walters, of San Diego, CA, Robert and Jill Martinez of Janesville, CA, Randy and Erin Landry of Lafayette, LA, and Elizabeth Bodin of Abbeyville, LA; and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Leona (Forquer) Kaufman of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her her parents, William and Irene (Baker) Forquer, her husband, Howard E. Dickson, a former Mansfield police officer, on November 22, 1997, 5 brothers, Walter, Burton, Earl, Victor and Ernest Forquer.

Friends may call from 10-11 AM at the Cornerstone Grace Brethren Church, 1905 Lexington-Springmill Road, on Wednesday, March 5, 2003. Funeral services will be at the church Wednesday at 11 AM conducted by Pastors Don Smith and Gene Witzky. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Shelby.
