Doris Bush,79 formerly of Pricedale, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 25, 2008, in the home of her daughter, Carol Carson of Charleroi. Doris, the daughter of the late Jackson and Mary Echart, was born in Fairchance, on January 3, 1929. She was a lifelong member of the Pricedale Union Church, where she worshipped and served faithfully. She will be greatly remembered for her dedication as a teacher, deacon, treasurer, janitor, and member of the Climbers Class and Bereavement Group, to name a few. In 2005, Doris was honored for her 45 years as Missionary Society President, when she retired from that position. Her family will be forever thankful for the legacy she left in her faith in Jesus Christ, in her love of God's Word and in the sacrifice she always made for those she loved. "Her children will rise up and called her blessed" Proverbs 31:28a. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Cliff and Linda Bush of Meadville, Don and Robin Bush of Elizabethtown, two daughters and sons-in-law, Marianne and Ron Fye of Elizabethtown, and Carol and Dave Carson of Charleroi, one brother, Clarence Echart and three sisters-in-law, Ethel, Erma and Arlene Echart, ten grandchildren, Brian Fye and his wife Laura, Allison Heide and her husband Kevin, Ben Fye, Tim Bush and future wife, Katherine, Stephanie Foltz and her husband Joseph, Jon and Josh Bush, and Heather, Zach and Caleb Carson. Four great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Alex Foltz, Gabriel Heide and Jazmine Avila. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Bush on October 24, 2001, three brothers, Charles, Raymond, and Jim Echart and a dear cousin, Gwen Wood. From Revelations: God hath not promised skies always blue, flower-strewn pathways all our lives through; God hath not promised sun without rain, joy without sorrow, peace without pain. But God hath promised strength for the day, rest for the labor, light for the way grace for the trials, help from above, unfailing sympathy, undying love … And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Revelation 21:4 Friends will be received from 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Monday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
