Early Grist Mills In Lincoln County
Huntsman's - October 1790 - Josiah Huntsman was given a mill right on Hanging Fork Creek. Josiah Huntsman and wife, Jane, came to Lincoln County from Albemarle County, Virginia. He died about 1805; his estate was settled - Division of estate, Aug. 3, 1805, to William Huntsman, Polly Huntsman, now Rutherford, George Huntsman, Benjamin Huntsman, and Sally Huntsman.
