Hazel June (Reeger) Smith, 86, of Blairsville, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe.
A daughter of Clair and Florence (Ferguson) Reeger, she was born June 29, 1925, in Blacklick Township.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, where she served as a deacon and was also a member of Blairsville Chapter 166 Order of the Eastern Star.
She worked as a housekeeper for the Chick family.
Surviving are a nephew, Donald Sharp, of Clarksburg; and two nieces, Fay Ruby, of Clarksburg, and Linda Sharp, of Blairsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul A. Smith, in 1999; a brother, George Reeger; and a sister, Mary Ellen Sharp.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, with the Rev. Timothy R. Monroe and the Rev. Dr. Roger D. Petersen co-officiating.
Interment will be made in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
