Antoinette "Anna" Apolito (1903-1985) came to America from Italy with her parents and sister Angelina (1906-1953) in the early part of the 20th Century. They made their first home in Boston, MA. The family soon expanded to include sisters Rose (1909-1976) and Josephine (1912-1984). Her father Federico Apolito died within a few years of his youngest daughter's birth. Her mother, Maria Rosa Lancellotti Apolito moved with her four daughters to Jersey City, NJ to be closer to relatives.

Anna married Frank Marino (1900-1981). They lived in Jersey City their entire lives where they raised a family. Together they had four children: Federico (1922-1926), Samuel, Theresa (DeNoble: 1926-1993), and Mary Rose (Giaquinto: 1935-1994). Anna and Frank Marino were parishioners of Our lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Jersey City for many years. They were married in this church, baptized their children and celebrated communions and confirmations in this church, and had their funerals in this church.
