The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 18 at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home. The service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 19 from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Main Street, Florence, MS with Bishop Jamie Young officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. Thursday in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 60 years, Glenda Gould Adams; four children: George Adams (Tanja) - Jackson, MS, David Adams - Park City, UT, Keith Adams - Clinton, MS and Karen Eyring (Nick) - Provo, UT; 17 Grandchildren, 16 Great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Mr. Adams served in the United States Air Force for 20 years and then retired from the U.S. Postal Service after approximately 29 years of service. He was a life member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints holding numerous positions of leadership in the church. Mr. Adams served as a "Grace Angel" year round for numerous friends and acquaintances. Two of his most enjoyable and favorite hobbies was spending time with and caring for his grandchildren and gardening.
