The 1905 obit of Alpheus Beall, Massa's youngest son has her name as Mary Ann Dunn "daughter of Dr. Dunn, a prominent physician of Virginia"
Fielder M M Beall's book has "Thomas Beall of Thomas, b 1780, d 1864; m [dau] of Dr. Dunn of Frankfort, Va."
Sharp's Bio of Asa Beall, their son, states: "Asa Beall, a son of Thomas Beall (1795-1864), the wealthiest man of his day in Cumberland, Maryland, and his wife Dunn, of Frankfort, Virginia, [Asa] was born in 1824 and died at his residence in Frostburg, Maryland, March 8, 1863."

E. L. Scofield's ancestral charts list "Thomas of Asa Beall married Ann Dunn, daughter of Dr. Dunn of Frankfort, VA".
Massa Dunn Beall has been long misrepresented because of the unusual spelling of her name:
Massa on her tombstone & 1850 census.
Messa on the Missouri deed.
Massy on the 1856 Coal Rights Document
Massey on her father's Hampshire county land disposition.
