Velma Davis, 83, of Marshall, MO, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall. Memorial graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at Old Lamine Cemetery with Mark Gooden officiating. There will be no visitation. Born June 6, 1929 in Mahaska County, IA, she was the daughter of the late James Holder and Irma Kackler Holder. She had lived in Marshall the last 12 years and was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Johnson of Elgin, IL and Randy Johnson of Madison, WI; three daughters, Pam Rickert of DeKalb, IL, Michelle Johnson of Madison, WI and Karen Stewart of Marshall, MO; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Judy Fountain of Boonville, MO; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Wendy Lowery and Melissa Stewart; three brothers and two sisters.
