Kenneth Axsom 82, Norman, died at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at his son's home in Norman.

Born Sept. 25, 1921, in Brown County, he was the son of Eathel and Elsie (Croucher) Axsom, who preceded him in death.

He married Geneva Mae Davis on April 27th, 1943, and she preceded him in death on April 4th, 2000.

He was a veteran of World War II serving with the 11th Army Division.

He was a member of Freetown Pentecostal Church and the American Legion Post 112, Brownstown.

He retired as a stone mill worker in Lawrence County in 1986.

He is survived by a son, Steve (Ginger) Axsom, Norman; a daughter, Linda (Doug) Kelley, Springville: three brothers, Kelcie and Delmar Axsom, both of Norman, and Harold K. Axsom, Bloomington; two sisters, Loberta Fleetwood, Bedford, and Loretta Fields, Paris Crossing; three grandchildren, Karen (Mark) Adams, Jeff (Della) Kelley, and Darrick (Laura) Kelley; and six great-grandchildren, Sarah, Conner, Hollie, Austin, Brianna and Camden.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a great-grandchild in infancy.
