Hazel E. Ayles, 82, of Exeter NH, died Jan. 25, 2001, at Exeter Healthcare. Born July 18, 1918, in Manchester NH, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Grace E. (Trull) Moore. She attended Manchester schools and was a 1943 graduate of Manchester High School. She lived in Hampton Falls NH for many years until moving to Exeter in 1968.


She worked as a dietary aid at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood NH for 15 years before retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Kitchen Kut-Ups and Tide Mill Chapter No. 67 O.E.S. in Hampton.


She was the wife of the late Robert L. Ayles, who died in 1964.


She leaves her sister-in-law Myrtle Woodward; brothers-in-law George Ayles and wife Eva, and Duncan Ayles and wife Marian; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Services will be held in the West View Cemetery, Hampton Falls, in the spring. At her request, there will be no visiting hours.
