Loretta May Backora, 87 of Tulsa OK died in Tulsa on Thursday, June 7, 2012. She was born in Omaha, NE on November 29, 1924 to Oscar Johnson and Larua (Larsen) Johnson. She had worked as a clerk in accounting services but was also a devoted homemaker.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ted A. Backora, her brother, Cliff Johnson, and a sister.
She is survived by sons, Ted W. Backora and his wife, Geri; Dan Backora and his wife, Jeanie; daughter, Judy Drake and her husband, Bruce; sisters, Florence Johnson and Harriett McCue; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and a Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday both at Braman Mortuary (72nd Street Chapel) Omaha, NE. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Omaha, NE. www.bramanmortuary.com.
