Janet I. Frock, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care, June 5, 2012, in New Oxford. Janet was the wife of the late Howard A. Frock, Sr. who died September 3, 2005.

Born November 27, 1925, in New Chester, she was the daughter of the late Curtis A. Rummel and Grace A. (Groscost) Rummel Lehigh.

Janet was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, New Oxford.

Mrs. Frock was employed by Doubleday Book Company where she worked as a book inspector for 15 years. She retired in 1989 from the former W.E. Bittinger Company of Hanover after approximately 15 years of service.

Janet enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting and sewing blankets for her children. She also loved nature, especially gardening. Her most treasured accomplishment was raising her three children.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Lahman and husband, Robert of Hanover and Barbara J. Frock of East Berlin; son, Howard A. Frock, Jr. and wife, Lois of New Oxford; three grandchildren, Michele Myers and husband Matt of York, Terry H. Frock and wife, Anna of Gettysburg, and Lindsay R. Frock of Mechanicsburg; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Morela of York, Jacob Frock and Zeke Frock, both of Gettysburg; eight step great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Groft of New Oxford; and her brother, Fred Rummel of Hanover.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph Rummel, Orville Rummel, Lloyd Rummel, Cyril Rummel; sister, Blanche Bixler; sister-in-law, Faye Frock; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., June 12, 2012, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., Hanover, with her pastor, the Rev. Rob Shoup officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
