A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Charlotte Holland Hendrix. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Buell, who died in 2008. Edna was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Jimmie Buell of Columbus, NC, Pam Jackson and her husband, Steve, of Waynesville, and Deanna Buell of Canton; a sister, Ada Scott of Glen Alpine; and a grandson, Shannon Haney.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Thomas Kemp officiating. Burial followed at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens.
