Garry Letner, 65, of Burnside, Kentucky, passed away September 29, 2011, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, March 14, 1946, he was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Letner.

He was a born again Christian and a United States Army veteran.

He is survived by his son, Jason Letner of Cincinnati, Ohio; mother, Christine Slaven Letner; sister, Patricia Summers of Sharps Chapel, Tenn.; brother, Calvin Letner of Burnside, Ky.; special friend, Jerry Hess of Ky.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted October 2, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Sister Diane Wright officiating. Graveside service was conducted October 3, at Marcum Cemetery with full military honors conducted by American Legion Post #136 of Oneida.

West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
