Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in Melancon Funeral Home for Alan Anthony Addotto, age 66, who passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Mr. Addotto was a native of Opelousas, where he lived most of his life. He had been a resident of Carencro since 2006. Alan was a craftsman and a creative writer. He also loved to cook and enjoyed carving. He loved his wife, his family and his pets and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 6 years, Bonnie Roden Addotto of Carencro; one brother, Anthony Guy Addotto, Jr. and wife, Yolonde, of Opelousas; five sisters, Ann Bihm and husband, Tracy, of Sunset, Peggy Clawson and husband, Raibon, of Austin, TX, Jeanne Coussan and husband, Robert, of Lafayette, Lisa Godeaux of Lafayette, Donna Courville and husband, Wayne, of Katy, TX; godchildren, Amy Chachere, Janie East Marks, Alyssa Chachere; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Virginia and David Roden of West Milford, NJ; one sister-in-law, Susan Klube and husband, Ted, of Vernon, NJ; two brothers-in-law, David Roden and wife, Joann, of Norridgewock, ME, George Roden and wife, Gloree, of New York; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Guy Addotto, Sr. and the former Vera East.


Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
