Joyce L. Barry, 64, Duncansville, died Saturday morning at Altoona Regional after a brief illness.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Whit and Sadie (Adams) Rose. She married Thomas R. Barry on Dec. 22, 1977, in Duncansville.
Surviving are her husband; two children: Stanley T. Schy and wife, Ida, of East Freedom and Darlene Wilt and husband, Michael, of Duncansville; five grandchildren: Stephanie, Michaela, Craig, Ashley and Kara; three great-grandchildren: Lilly, Julynn and Ethan; two sisters: Lois George of Trotwood, Ohio, and Darlene Reilly of Duncansville; and a brother, James Rose and wife, Pam, of Roaring Spring.
Mrs. Barry had attended Faith Assembly of God Church, Roaring Spring. She was employed at Hoss's Restaurant, where she had worked for more than 30 years.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family, growing flowers, decorating and gardening and she loved working at Hoss's.
A service will be held at the convenience of the family by Pastor Anthony Baker.
Interment will be made in Claysburg Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions in Joyce's memory be given to the American Cancer Society.
